We lost our friend “Q” this past trip. At 12 years old, he was still in great shape and enjoyed camp life to the fullest. Always a clown, he learned from his ‘brother’ how to fish off the dock. Although he was never successful, like his brother, he never quit. In true Drahthaar fashion, his last day was spent chasing a bear out of camp. He now rests with his brother in a place I know he loved so much. Goodbye my friend, some day we will be together again.
“Dogs die. But dogs live too. Right up until they die, they live. They live brave beautiful lives. They protect their families. And love us. And make our lives a little brighter. And they don’t waste time being afraid of tomorrow.” – Dan Gemeinhart
